On Sunday December 7, 2014, Arlin Godwin 85 went to be with our Father in Heaven. Mr. Godwin was born May 26, 1929 in Haynesville, Louisiana to Marcus and Minnie Godwin.
Mr. Godwin was a member of Liberty Nazarene Church, he was a loving husband and father, doting grandfather, great and great great grandfather, and he will be greatly missed.
Mr. Godwin was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 66 years, Maggie Marie, his brothers, Daniel, Joseph and Leo; his sisters, Helen Simpson, Beatrice Joyce, Joyce Kelley and Reatha Ausema, and a daughter, Darlene Willis.
He is survived by his sisters, Mary Honeycut, Linda Peisert, Sandra Leach and husband Gene and Faye Kendrick and husband Joseph; his children, Kathy Godwin, Eddie Godwin and wife Debbie, Sherry Baldridge, Vicky Huckabee and husband Rick, Jeffery Godwin and wife Sandy, David Godwin and wife Sallie, and Stephanie Murphy and husband Ronnie. He was blessed with twenty three grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter, Violet McCann.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at the Pharr Funeral Home in Prescott between the hours of 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
Chapel service will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Pharr Funeral Home of Prescott Chapel with Don Westbrook officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery under the direction of Pharr Funeral Home of Prescott..
