Rose V. Ackerman, 69, of 359 Pine Meadows Road, died Thursday at Oswego Hospital.
Born March 12, 1927, in Brooklyn, daughter of Robert and Helene Wolf Ray, she attended Brooklyn schools.
She married James Ackerman May 27, 1944. The couple lived in Brooklyn until moving to Pine Meadows in 1948.
Mrs. Ackerman attended and taught Sunday school at Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church and was a member of the Pine Meadows Women's Missionary Group.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, James R. and Larry T., both of Altmar; three daughters, Rosemary F. Reale, Syracuse, Joan C. Johnson, Cicero, and Judyann B. Grant, Sandy Creek; three brothers, Richard F. Ray, Brooklyn, Vincent Ray, California, and James B. Ray, Deer Park, Long Island; two sisters, Virginia Angelis, Brooklyn, and Eileen Vitacco, Centereach, Long Island, and 10 grandchildren.
A grandson died before her.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Timothy Hurne and the Rev. Sandy Sinesi officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell.

A native of Brooklyn, Mrs. Ackerman moved to Altmar in 1948. She was a member of Pine Meadows Women's Missionary Group and attended and taught Sunday school classes at Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are her husband, James; two sons, James R. and Larry T., both of Altmar; three daughters, Rosemary F. Reale of Syracuse, Joan C. Johnson of Cicero and Judyann B. Grant of Sandy Creek; three brothers, Richard Ray of Brooklyn, Vincent Ray of California and James B. Ray of Deer Park; two sisters, Virginia Angelis of Brooklyn and Eileen Vitacco of Centereach; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church, the Rev. Timothy Hurne and the Rev. Sandy Sinesi officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell.
Calling hours will be 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St., Pulaski.
