She was born Dec. 10, 1912, in Springfield, the daughter of John W. and Mamie Tucker Wineman.
Miss Wineman graduated from Illinois State University and attended the University of Minnesota. She was a teacher for 40 years, working at Lanphier High School for 38 years. She was a lifetime member of Laurel United Methodist Church. She was a member of Chapter ES of the PEO Sisterhood, the Springfield Chapter of the DAR and the Lalla Rookh Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors: two nephews, Jack and Paul Wineman, both of California; two nieces, Jane Salmon and Sue Ann Hansen, both of California; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel, the Rev. John Hamilton officiating. Burial: Auburn Cemetery.
