Hettie was the daughter of Jesse Copher and Elizabeth "Betsey" Boone, daughter of George W Boone and Nancy Ann Linville. Hettie Berry (146911836). Jesse was the first to be spelled Copher. Some were listed as Coffer. Contributor: Debra Cofer (#49103300)

Hettie Boone Copher married the Reverend Tyre Harris Berry (also spelled Tyree) on June 28, 1821 in Boone County, Missouri. He was the son of John Berry and Elizabeth "Betsy" Harris.

The couple apparently had eleven children together before Hettie passed in 1842, along with the infant she had given birth to, named Jesse after her father. They were Mary "Polly", John, William Nasby, Thomas Copher, Elizabeth Jane, Caroline, James M, David Lenox, Nancy "Nannie", Benjamin J, and Jesse.

In 1844 Tyre married Nancy Jane Rhodes who helped him raise his and Hettie's children, as well as their child together Andrew Milton Berry.
