BEARDEN, MR. J. W., age 71, of Tarrant, died Saturday, December 23, 1995. He was retired from the position of shipping clerk with Vulcan Rivet and Bolt Company. He was a member of Boyles Baptist Church and a member of the United Steel Workers, Local 1359 AFL/CIO. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 26, at 2 P.M. at Ridout's Roebuck Chapel. Rev. Derek Gentle and Dr. Marcell Burchfield will officiate. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. Survivors: wife, Helen M. Bearden of Tarrant; daughter, Lois B. Taylor of Auburn; son, Kenneth L. Bearden of Columbus, GA; sisters, Evelyn Johnson of Sterrett, AL, and Nadine Ingram of Wilsonville, AL; brothers, Hubert S. Bearden of Birmingham and Carlton E. Bearden of Sterrett; granddaughter, Andrea B. Gragg of Birmingham; great-granddaughter, Heather Kirkwood of Birmingham; step-grandson, Eric Spivey of Birmingham; step great-grandchildren, Robyn Gragg and Stephen Gragg of Bessemer; son-in-law, Robert Taylor of Auburn; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Bearden of Columbus, GA, grandson-in-law, Steve Gragg of Birmingham.
