81, of Louisville, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Baptist Health Louisville.

Born in Louisville, the former Marcella Schenck was a loving housewife, and a longtime member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. She loved cleaning, Sunday drives to the farm, and especially babysitting and spoiling her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the many children that she cared for through the years

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Schenck and LaVon Harden; stepfather, Edgar Humphrey; brother, Junie Schenck; sister, Doris Borne; and son-in-law, Patrick Bowling.

Marcella is survived by her husband of 64 years, Milton Hettinger; children, Debbie Gallahue (Larry), Donna Bowling and Milton Hettinger, Jr. (Mary Beth); brother Edgar Humphrey, Jr. (Becky); sisters, Joanne Powell, Jean Mattingly and Diane Simpson (John); grandchildren, Ollie, Brent, Shannon, Emily, Nicolle, John Patrick, Brad and Kyle; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at St. Margaret Mary, 7813 Shelbyville Road, with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery.
