Former Member of Legislature Dies at Home At St. Albans
David McQueen, 80, died at his home at St. Albans about two o'clock yesterday afternoon after being ill for about six weeks.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary McQueen; four daughters, Miss Ida McQueen and Miss Alice McQueen, both of St. Albans; Mrs. H. G. Carakaddon, Hillsboro, O., and Mrs. J. B. Moore of Ashland, Ky.; five sons, Dr. W. E. McQueen, Summersville, the Rev. A. A. McQueen, Romney; C. F. McQueen and J. H. McQueen former member of the house of delegates both of Fayetteville, and D. S. McQueen of Charleston and Ronceverte; one brother, Charles McQueen, Weston and one sister, Mrs. Cass McAthur, Gauley Bridge.
Funeral services are to be held at eleven o'clock tomorrow morning at the home at St. Albans, David McQueen was born at Fincastle, Va., Jan. 2, 1853. He served as sheriff of Nicholas county and as a member of the house of delegates in 1883, when the state capitol was at Wheeling.
He was a Mason and a member of the Baptist church. He was related to many prominent families in the central part of West Virginia.
