Robin “Robbie” Lynn West, 46, of Leland, NC died Friday, May 22, 2015 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center.
He was born on January 18, 1969 in Brunswick County, NC, the son of the late Samuel and Frances Ganey West.
Robbie was born and raised in Leland and graduated from North Brunswick High School. He was employed for several years with Energy Efficient Homes. Robbie also served on a two year Mission for the LDS Church. He was an avid sports fan, especially North Carolina Tar Heel Basketball, he had a passion for cars, particularly Mustangs, and he loved his Sundrop. He will be remembered by his family as a loving Dad and brother.
Surviving are his two children, Sam West and wife Kimberly, and Megan West, and their mother, Jennie McCracken; a sister, Debbie Lacey; nieces, Deana Bradsher and Jamie Dasher; great nieces and nephew, Haylei, Trae and Brooke Garst; his wife, Evelyn Stevens West, from whom he was separated; and his step children, Christina and Gage.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Andrews Mortuary Market Chapel.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Leland Ward. Interment will follow in the Nelson Family Cemetery.
