Obituary
Julie Beth Langseth, age 63, of rural Pelican Rapids, MN, died on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at her home with Lakeland Hospice and her family by her side.

Julie Beth (Schon) Langseth was born on July 4, 1951. She was born the daughter of Leonard and Edna (Bakke) Schon in Crookston, MN and grew up on a farm near Fertile. Julie and her sisters helped drive tractor for her dad hauling grain and baling hay.

She graduated from Fertile High School in 1969. She went to Moorhead State College and in the summers she worked at Mount Carmel Bible Camp near Alexandria. Julie graduated from Moorhead State College in 1973 with a degree in education. She worked for Blue Cross of North Dakota and taught for 3 years in Pembina. She was united in marriage with Tom Langseth on June 5, 1976 in Fertile. Together they farmed and raised three children: Todd, Rayna, and Michael. Julie was a substitute teacher and later worked at Productive Alternatives for 25 years working with disabled adults.

Julie was a member of Grove Lake Lutheran Church where she had lots of friends. Because of her fourth of July birthday she loved red, white and blue clothing and decorations. Her sisters, Carole, Lynette and Nancy had fun weekends together playing games and especially shopping. She also loved visits with her children and grandchildren.

Julie is survived by her husband Tom of Pelican Rapids; two sons: Todd (Megan) Langseth, of Pelican Rapids, and Michael Langseth (fiancée Amanda Pederson), of Fargo; daughter: Rayna (Luke) Bergseth, of Moorhead; grandchildren: Taylor and Levi; sisters: Carole (Chuck) Helmstetter, of Fargo, Nancy (Dal) Hertz, of Hugo, MN, and Lynette (Mike) Bayles, of Fargo; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and father and mother-in-law.
