Elizabeth Gail Presley Oxner was my Mother. She was a shining star in an otherwise dim world. She was always encouraging us to reach for our dreams and do what makes us the most happy. She used to say, "if you can dream it, you can be it". She married Donald L Oxner on September 26, 1969. They had 3 children. Myself, my younger sister Whitney and my baby brother Donny. She had 7 grand children, Colin Eytchison, Alex Eytchison, Skylar Rice, MacKenzie Rice, Lane Oxner, Sarah-Addison Oxner and Ruth-Anna Oxner. She loved her family but she loved her Grand kids more than anything. She once told me that if she would have known being a grandparent was this wonderful, she would have skipped the kids and went straight to the Grands. She had the Presley temper, and you could see it about to flash from a mile away. She was the baby of 8 children born to Eva Inez Parish and Willard Sharkey Presley. Spoiled would not come close to the way that she was treated. She was a Certified Surgical Technologist for 30 years. The last 10 or so she was an Instructor. She was my best friend and there will never be anyone that will love me the way she did. She was fun loving and liked to play practical jokes, especially at Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, I have never known a single human that loved it more than her. She would start decorating the 1st day of November and it would take her until the middle of March to take everything down. Her house was always like a wonderland. She had every conceivable automated Santa that had ever been made. She loved her roses and they grew more beautiful each year. She loved Elvis, but Conway Twitty was her favorite all around entertainer. She was loved by all that knew her. She will be forever missed.
