Michele was born on September 25, 1955 in Elkhart to Gene A. and M. Carol (Baker) Morgan. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Marc A. Morgan, who died April 15, 2015.
As Michele Morgan, she married David Dufour on February 23, 1980 in Elkhart. Dave survives along with their children: Demaree Dufour-Noneman (Brett) of Goshen, IN; Paige Dufour (Jamie Reckelhoff) of Indianapolis, IN; Dylan Dufour (Paula Douglas) of Chicago: two granddaughters, Anya Lynn and Claire Elizabeth Noneman; a sister, Melanie (Thomas) Dunajeski of Dyer, IN and her mother, M. Carol Morgan of Elkhart.
Michele was a 1973 graduate of Elkhart Central High School and a 1977 graduate of Indiana University where she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. She had been employed for many years by Juhl Marketing Communications, most recently as Senior Vice President. After leaving Juhl, Michele took a position at Indiana University South Bend as the Director of Community Outreach for the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts.
Michele was also a member of Tri Kappa and a life member of the Elkhart Civic Theatre. She enjoyed reading and was an accomplished photographer, having studied photojournalism while in college. However, her biggest joy in life was her family, more specifically, her granddaughters whom affectionately called her "Gaga".
