Winnie Ruth Smith was born February 8, 1925, at Mitchell, to A. Byrl and Clara (Hosmer) Crouch. She grew up and attended Faith Home School in Mitchell. On April 4, 1945, she married Frederic Smith at Salt Lake City, UT. She was employed at Saint Joseph Hospital in Mitchell for many years and also a longtime member of the Faith Missionary Church in Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred in 1994, two sisters, Naomi Barringer and Elaine Larson and three brothers: Robert, David and Byron Crouch.
