December 31, 1914 - The body of this former well known resident of Clarion was brought to Clarion Wednesday, Dec. 30th, for interment. She died at the home of her son at Endeavor, Pa., Sunday, Dec. 27, 1914, from causes due to old age and the body was tenderly laid alongside of her husband in the Clarion cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson was a daughter of Samuel and Nellie Jones, and was born in April, 1829, in Jefferson county. She was married to the late Jesse G. Thompson, who followed lumbering for many years and lived and worked quite a while at the mouth of Toby at the northwestern limits of Clarion borough.
Mrs. Thompson is now survived by two sons, Charles of Endeavor, Pa. and Curtis of Oregonia, Ohio. Three daughters and two sons preceded her to the other world. The deceased was a consistent an faithful member of the Presbyterian church for many years retaining her membership in the Brookville church for a long term of years prior to her death.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Sheaver of Endeavor, Pa., and the body was then conveyed to Clarion for interment.
