Funeral services for Donna E Yost, age 66, of Route 1, Albert Lea, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, at St. Theodore's Catholic Church. Father Robert Schneider will officiate. Burial will be at St. Theodore's Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 4 - 8 p.m. at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and one hour before the service at the church.
Donna died Saturday, December 24, 1994, at her home after a lengthy illness.
Donna E. Yost was born on August 22, 1928, in Mankato, the daughter of Roy and Julia (Fredrick) Hoehn. She attended and graduated from Albert Lea High School. On October 29, 1949, she was united in marriage to Raymond F. Yost at St. Theodore's. Donna was a homemaker all her life and loved to bake and cook. She was very active at St. Theodore's with the W.C.C.W. circle and was a Eucharistic minister. She was also active in Extension and loved to grow flowers, gardening and the outdoors.
Donna is survived by her husband, Raymond, son, Leo and wife Marsha and their children, Susan and husband Peter Schmidt of Duluth, and Scott of Albert Lea; son, Ron of Albert Lea; father, Roy Hoehn of Good Samaritan Center; brother, LeRoy and wife Vera Hoehn of Albert Lea; sister Mary and husband Gene Barrett of Albert Lea; sister-in-law, Louise Yost of Albert lea; brother-in-law, Robert Yost of Illinois; and many nieces, nephews and many close and loving friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her mother, Julia Hoehn; brother-in-law David Yost; sister-in-law, Angela Lacacy; mother-in-law, Gertrude, and father-in-law, Edward.
She will be missed deeply by her family, friends and loved for her strength and faith during her illness.
