He was the loving husband of Betty M. (Anders) Hackman for 69 years. Harrison was born in Franconia, Pennsylvania to the late Harrison D. and Lizzie A. (Moyer) Hackman.
Harrison was self employed as a farmer from 1952 to 1968. During the last years of farming, he was a school bus driver for Souderton Area School District. He was employed from 1969 to 1978 as a carpenter for Robert M. Koffel of Harleysville, PA. He then was employed by Bergey’s Inc. until retirement in 2005.
Harrison was a faithful member of Lansdale Mennonite Church.
In addition to his wife, Betty, he was survived by a daughter, Janice Zook and her husband Omar of White River Junction, VT; two sons, Cleon Hackman and his wife Lois of Perkasie, PA, and Joel H. Hackman and his wife Shirley of Telford, PA; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, a brother, Norman Hackman and his wife Betty of Lansdale, PA; four sisters, Katie Martin of Cloverdale, OH, Naomi Alstein and her husband David of Southampton, NJ, Pauline Nice of Souderton, PA and Eva Hershey and her husband Charles of Mount Laurel, NJ; two sisters-in-law, Esther Hackman of Wisconsin and Irene Hackman of Souderton, PA;
He was preceded in death by five brothers: Laaden, Samuel, Leroy, Nelson and Paul Hackman
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Salford Mennonite Church, Harleysville, PA. Burial was in the Salford Mennonite Cemetery.
