Obituary Bismarck Tribune (Mar 6, 2015)
Doris Bossert, 97, Bismarck, died March 2, 2015, at a Bismarck care center. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 9, at Faith Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. Jon Splichal Larson officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Washburn.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Bismarck Funeral Home.

Doris was born Jan. 8, 1918, in Anita, Iowa, to Earl and Edna (Robinson) Rodgers. She was raised and educated in Garrison, graduating from Garrison High School in 1936. After high school, she moved out west, where she worked at a cafe and a cannery.

She married Leslie Page on Oct. 8, 1937, in Garrison. They moved to Bemidji, Minn., for a short time until returning back to McLean County where they started farming, until Leslie passed away in 1971. She then moved to Washburn and worked at the courthouse, until retiring and moving to Bismarck in 1980. She married Ed Bossert in 1982, and they enjoyed retirement by traveling the country.

Doris enjoyed crocheting, quilting and especially raising her kids.

Doris is survived by her children, Wanda Giedd, Washburn, Gary (Delores) Page, Bismarck, Robert (Carolyn) Page, Hayes, Va., Roger (Diana) Page, Minot, Alan Page, Riverdale, Sandra (Ken) Shaffer, Henderson, Nev., and Pamela (Gary) Schlenker, Laurel, Mont.; her sister, Eileen Ziegler, Garrison; her brother-in-law, Ted Herman, Riverton, Wyo.; her sister-in-law, Naomi Rodgers, Bismarck; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Leslie Page and Ed Bossert; two sisters; two brothers; and one stepson. (Bismarck Funeral Home)
