Anita June "Junie" Bell, 57, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in a local hospice center.

She was born in Lake Charles and lived in Creole prior to hurricaine Rita. Junie worked as a coordinator for Cameron Parish Headstart Program. She loved crocheting, especially making baby blankets. Junie enjoyed and supported going to South Cameron High and Kinder High School football games.

Survivors include her mother, Lou Duhon of Lake Charles; husband, Philip Bell; son, Randy Bell; daughter, Mary Courville and husband Josh; granddaughter, Cheyenne Courville all of Kinder; brother, Thomas Duhon and wife, Veronica of LeBlanc; sisters, Joanette Duhon and Lena Cormier and husband Neal all of Lake Charles. She was preceded in death by her fathers, Ray East and Pete Duhon; brother, Anthony East; nephew, Jason Cormier; father and mother-in-law, James and Mary Bell.

Her funeral will be at 2p.m. Friday, May 22, at Christ The King Catholic Church. The Very Reverend Anthony Fontenot will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 11a.m. to 9p.m. with a Rosary at 6p.m. and will resume Friday from 8a.m. until service time at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Burial will be at Sweet Lake Grand Lake Cemetery. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
