"On November 1, 1827, Lynchburg Adams married Elizabeth Drake, who was born in Howard county, Missouri, on December 7, 1808,and came to what is now Jackson County about the year 1825. She was a daughter of Isaac Drake, a soldier of the Revolutionary War, in whose memory a monument was erected near Atherton by the Daughters of the American Revolution."
