Mrs. Virginia Vetra McGlamery Marsh, age 85 of Millers Creek, passed away Tuesday, May 19th, 2015 at Wilkes Senior Village.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 3:00 PM at Pleasant Home Baptist Church in Millers Creek with Rev. Mike Church officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Marsh was born in Wilkes County on September 9, 1929 to Allie and Ruth Whittington McGlamery. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Marsh was a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband; Wade Marsh, two sons; Sammy Marsh and Michael Marsh and one brother; Norris McGlamery.
She is survived by her husband; Jay Parsons of Wilkesboro, one son; Mahlon Wade Marsh and wife Donna of Wilkesboro, one sister; Julene Rash and husband Paul of Millers Creek, one brother; Lane McGlamery and wife Beth of Wilkesboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Home Baptist Church, 735 Pleasant Home Church Road, Millers Creek, N.C. 28651.
