Stacey Kathleen (Small) Suor-Clark passed away on the morning of May 13, 2015, at Mercy Southwest Hospital in Bakersfield, after a six-year battle with numerous strokes. She was 45.

Stacey was born at Tehachapi Hospital on Jan. 10, 1970, to Gary and Lynne Small. She attended all her early schooling in Tehachapi and graduated from Tehachapi High School in 1988. Upon graduation, she moved to Bakersfield, where she attended CSU Bakersfield and Bakersfield College and obtained an associate of science degree in radiologic technology. Soon after, she married David Suor and moved to Albuquerque, N.M., where she gave birth to her only child, Jace Michael.

After a period of time, she and Jace returned to Kern County, where she lived the remainder of her life. While attending college, Stacey worked for the Tehachapi Veterinary Hospital until she received her degree, and she then worked as a radiology technician in various hospitals and businesses in the Bakersfield area.

Stacey had a tremendous love for animals and over her lifetime adopted many. She loved being a mother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a meticulous needle crafter and loved watching movies.

Preceding Stacey in death were her father, Gary Small, and second husband, Chris Clark. She is survived by her son, Jace; brother, Shawn Small and wife, Valerie; niece and nephew, Stephanie Small and Seth Small; mother, Lynne Small; and other loving family.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate may do so to the American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org/donate/), or Have a Heart Humane Society, Tehachapi (facebook.com/Haveahearthumanesociety) on behalf of Stacey.
