She was born November 25, 1909 on the family farm north of Norwich, to Ole and Mathilda Hovey. She was raised and educated there, graduating from Norwich High School.
She married Clinton M. Selk on September 2, 1933 in Minot. They lived in Minot, where he was employed by the Great Northern and Burlington Northern Railroads. Clinton died on September 26, 1989.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Minot, and the women's group there.
Survivors: daughters, Donna Jean Stuck, and Judy Teets, both of Minot, Marvel Foster, Bloomington , Minnesota; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Irene Mitchell, Viola Barsness, both of Minot and Mesa, Arizona; brothers, Edwin, Towner, and Lester, Minot.
Funeral services were held Thursday at the Zion Lutheran Church in Minot.
