Maxine C. Bond, 64, wife of David O. Bond, died Tues. May 19, 2015 at her residence. Born October 14, 1950 in Lexington, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Henry Taylor and Lucy Rowlette Cooper. Mrs. Bond was a 37 year employee of St. Joseph Hospital where she retired as the Heart Surgery Program Operating Manager. She was loved by her co-workers at St. Joseph for her kind and gentle demeanor. Mrs. Bond attended Porter Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors other than her husband include one daughter, Stephanie (Scottie) McClease, Lexington, KY; five grandchildren, Zack and Logan McClease, Skylar, Jayce and Harper Whittaker; one step-grandchild, Gracie McClease; her sister, Phyllis (Paul) McAdams; and a son-in-law, Bruce Whittaker. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jennifer Bond Whittaker; and two brothers, Henry T. Cooper and Wayne Cooper. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Fri. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. by Rev. Curtis Coots. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Lexington, Kentucky.
