Parowan, Utah

Jennifer "Jenny" Maria Bean passed away at home on May 16, 2015 in Parowan, Utah after a three month battle with colon cancer; she was 44 years old.

Jennifer was born on January 27, 1971 in Juneau, Alaska to Bruce and Carma Bean. She graduated with honors from Kahuku High School while living in Laie, Hawaii. She pursued a cosmetology license; unfortunately she became ill and was diagnosed with mental illness resulting in frequent hospital stays.

She worked in retail most of her adult life, at Wal-Mart, Kohl's, and K-Mart. Most recently, she was employed at the Parowan Market. She was a hard worker, very dependable, and well-liked by those around her.

Jennifer will be remembered for her love of music, reading, and most of all her love for cats. She had a determination that could challenge the most strong-willed of people.

Jennifer is survived by her parents, her five sisters, Karen Lambert ( Jerry), Becky Thompson (Bill), Susan McCord (Scotty), Julie Dastrup (Russ), and Katie Petersen (Kai), along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. A gathering for friends and relatives in her memory will be held at the new LDS chapel in Parowan, Utah on Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 9:30-10:30 am, with the funeral service starting at 11:00 am. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jenny's life. She will be laid to rest in the Parowan cemetery on Tuesday, May 26th at 10:00 am.
