Mrs. Russell was an Avon representative.
Born in Falls City, Neb., on May 30, 1926, she had lived in St. Joseph since the mid-1940's. She was a Baptist.
On May 2, 1945, she married Clarence E. Russell in Troy, Kansas. He died in 1981.
Mrs. Russell was also preceded in death by a son, Clarence Jr., her parents, Bert and Gladys Helton Sr., four brothers, Bert Helton Jr., and Allen, Richard E., and Raymond Helton Jr.; five sisters, JoAnn, Shirley L. Helton, Dorothy P. Kelley, ,Lucille Kincaid and Roberta McAllister.
Surviving: two sons, David A., St. Joseph, and Edwin E., Mill Springs, N.C.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services: Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998, Meierhoffer-Fleeman Funeral Home, St. Joseph, MO.
Burial: Ashland Cemetery, St. Joseph, Mo.
