JAMES, Mr. Lynn D. Age 79, of Dayton, departed this life May 14, 2015 surrounded by his family. A proud graduate of Dunbar High School, Class of 1954, where he served as class treasurer. He served in the National Guard and attended the University of Dayton. He retired from the U. S. Post Office after over 35 years. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Eleanor J. James; parents, Moses and Charlotte James; sisters, Marcia Hines, Lovelle (Robert) Gibson; brother, David (Beatrice) James. Survivors include his daughters, Tonya and Tracy James, Trina (Lowell) Harris; son, Lynn D. James II; grandchildren, Treva and Tiffany James, Morgan and Michael Mason, Matthew Herron; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Rev. Andre Hayes officiating. Interment West Memory Gardens.
