PORTSMOUTH — BILLY H. CRAIG, 81, of Portsmouth, died Monday, May 18, 2015, at SOMC Hospice.

Bill was born July 9, 1933, in Portsmouth, the son of the late Harold and Margaret Craig. He was retired from the City of Portsmouth as Electrical inspector, a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and a Korean War Veteran in the Air Force.

Surviving are his wife Joyce Delabar Craig; one son Scott (Kandi) Craig of Portsmouth; two daughters Kim (Tom) King of Portsmouth, Rhonda (John) Miller of Columbus; grandchildren Weston Craig, Leah Craig, Kendra Wittenburg, Nicole LaSota, Craig King, and Chris King and eight great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with The Rev. Adam Streitenberger officiating.

Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at Melcher Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Recitation of the Rosary will be 8 p.m. Wednesday at Melcher Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Notre Dame High School.
