Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Renae Barker will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015 in Elwood Baptist Church, Forest Hill, with Reverend Mike Evans officiating.
Interment will follow at Pisgah Cemetery, Forest Hill, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. Barker, 37, of Forest Hill entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 16, 2015 in her residence.
Laura enjoyed attending church and worshiping her Lord. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Laura Barker memorial fund at Sabine State Bank.
She is preceded in death by her Pawpaw, Lt. James ¡§Jimmy¡¨ Vicknair and her uncle, Clay Vicknair.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her loving husband of five years, Thomas Barker of Forest Hill; her three daughters, Tiffany Clark of Hineston, Courtney Clark of Forest Hill, Kaylee Goleman of Shreveport; her father, Jimmy Doyle of Opelousas; her mother-in-law, Patricia Barker of Forest Hill; two brothers, Jory Doyle and Stephen Doyle both of Texas; two sisters, Ashley Doyle and Emily Hicks both of Texas; her best friend, Jeanie Dale Johnson of Forest Hill; two grandchildren, Kadyn Dauzat and MaKailyn Dauzat; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at Elwood Baptist Church on Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Visitation will reopen on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
