"Gertrude A. Trester, 87, of the C & R Unit of Community Memorial Hospital since September, 1987, and formerly of 463 West Sarnia, died on Friday (Nov. 22, 1991) at the C & R Unit.

She was born on May 27, 1904 in Winona County, to Charles and Anna Sielke Papenfuss. She married Harold Trester on Oct. 14, 1927 in Winona. He died on Nov. 24, 1983.

Gertrude farmed with her husband at Hart, Minn., prior to moving to Winona in 1965. She also worked for St. Mary's College.

She was a member of St. Martin's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivor's include three nieces, Mildred Sass, Joan Schwab, and Kay Lunning; and a nephew, Roger Trester.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Eugene, three brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m., at St. Martin's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Vicar Kenneth Tatkenhorst will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7-8:30 p.m. on Sunday evening at Martin-Myhre Funeral Home, where there will be a Devotional Service at 8 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Milton and Marbin Bublitz, Milton Ronnenberg, Wally Viestenz, John Arndt, and Joe Galuska."
