Durwood Evans, 47, of Ash, NC died Monday, May 18, 2015.Born in Brunswick County on November 10, 1967, he was the son of Gurley L. and Glenda Cannon Evans. He was a building contractor. Surviving in addition to his parents are three daughters, Tifany Evans, Nakina, Shana Turberville, Chadbourn and Brooke Causey of Whiteville; two sisters, Betty Carlyle and Delores Evans, both of Ash; five grandchildren and a special nephew, Matthew Norris. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, in New Britton Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
