Mrs. Bowers, widow of the late Clarence M. Bowers, Sr., died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Lexington Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Ray Summey and Frances Naomi Shull Summey. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She had retired as a bookkeeper from J.A. Free, Jr. Company, Inc.
Surviving are her daughter, Joy L. Horton, and husband, Glen, of Cayce; son, Clarence M. Bowers, Jr., and wife, Dana, of West Columbia; grandchildren, Cody D. Grant, Tony Horton, Lester H. "Trey" Liles, Jami R. Liles, Ashley D. Bowers, Rachel "Niki" Nicole Bowers, Savanna L. Logan, and McKenna Ryer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years; and a brother, James R. Summey.
