Betty Jean Heumader, 78, passed away May 15, 2015.
Betty was born on June 11, 1936, in St. Joseph. She was the eldest daughter of William and Louise Cordonnier. She had three brothers and six sisters.
Betty married Robert L. Heumader on January 30, 1959. They moved to California in 1962, and raised their family in Stockton. They had five children, Leesa (David) Salaiz, Vaneese (Joe) De Rouen, Robert Heumader, Curtis Heumader, and William Heumader. They have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; son, Curtis; three brothers, Clint, Tinker, and Bill Cordonnier; and two sisters, Susie Mueller and Danny Osteen.
She is survived by her husband; four children; and four sisters, Toni Shimer, Carol VanScoy, Theresa Blackwell, and Monica Purdy.
Betty was actively involved with her church and her sorority sisters since 1965. She was a devoted wife and mother, and cared for her family her entire life. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday May 20, 2015, at Presentation Church, Stockton.
