Marian Cleaves Stollberg, age 89, of Iola, Wis., passed away at Kenosha Care Center, Kenosha Wis., on Thursday, May 15, 1997.

Marian was born in Iola, Wis. on April 8, 1908, daughter of the late H. Clayton and Minnie Erickson Cleaves. She attended Iola Public Schools,graduating from Iola High School in 1927. She worked in Milwaukee forseveral years.

On July 14, 1938, she married Dr. Louis A. Stollberg, a Two Rivers dentist at Chilton, Wis. They resided in Two Rivers from 1938 until
1963. She was active in Grace Congregational Church, Order of Eastern Star, Manitowoc County Dental Auxiliary, and Elks Club. Upon Dr. Stollberg's retirement from dentistry in 1963, they moved to Iola. She was an active member of the Iola United Methodist Church, Waupaca Eastern Star, Senior citizens, and Sons of Norway.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Louis A. Stollberg; a son, Ted; two brothers, Allen Cleaves and Sherman Cleaves; two sisters, Irene Cleaves and Marguerite Hernday Gower.

She is survived by a son, Jon; a daughter-in-law, Judy; granddaughter, Sherry Siebers; two great grandchildren, Christy Siebers, Quinn Siebers.

Friends may call at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, on Monday, May 19, 1997, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Services will be held at 1 p.m. at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and burial will take place at Pioneers Rest Cemetery, Two Rivers.
