Jerry was born June 23, 1945, in Turlock, California to Crump and Lois McCrary. He was raised by his mother Lois and step-father Jay Dornan. He spent most of his childhood in Merced County, graduating from Merced High School where he participated in basketball and excelled in baseball.
Jerry married Barbara in 1973. They lived in Merced and partnered in business for the remainder of their lives together.
Jerry had a special ability to connect with others and maintained long term friendships with many of his high school friends. He enjoyed the comradery of the coin collector group and playing pool and darts with friends. He had a wealth of knowledge and experience that he was glad to share with others. He was a kind and giving man that was always willing to help his family. He loved the solitude of nature and enjoyed living on his ranch in Le Grand, California. His family and friends will miss his support and giving nature.
He is survived by his wife and partner Barbara, son Eddie McCrary, daughters Julia Heinmiller, Terry Bridgman, Vicki Di Paolo, Sherry Dornan, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Jerry will begin at 11:00 a.m., Thursday May 14, 2015 at Ivers and Alcorn Funeral Home, burial will follow at Merced District Cemetery.
