Benny Thomas Moore, 75, of Pascagoula died Sunday, May 17, 2015.

Mr. Moore was born October 22, 1939 in Oak Grove, LA to Olen and Ollie Redden Moore. He graduated from Blue Island High School in Chicago, IL. Soon after graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy. He married the love of his life, Elizabeth on June 23, 1972 and was one month shy of 43 years of marriage. Mr. Moore made a career in the United States Navy retiring as a Chief Petty Officer on October 31, 1980. He also worked at Sup Ship. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Larry Moore and Richard Moore; and one sister, Melba Jessop. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth L. Moore of Pascagoula; two daughters, Rachel Moore Thorne of Pascagoula and Kimberly Moore Knowles of Ocean Springs; two grandchildren, Hayden Thorne and Heidi Knowles; two brothers, Johnny Moore of Hornbeck, LA and Michael Moore of TN; one sister, Deborah Phillips of Leesville, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, May 22, 2015 from 12:00noon-1:00pm followed by the graveside service at 2:30 pm at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi. Those who would like may express their condolences online at www.obryantokeefe.com.
