Funeral services will be held at 2:30PM on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, in the Chapel of Watson-Tante Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Vaughn and Rev. David Chapman officiating. Burial will follow the service at Brantley United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, beginning at 1:00PM until service time.
Mr. Hardage was born May 17, 1936, in Taylor County, GA, to Harper Lee and Alice Peterman Hardage who both preceded him in death. Methodist by faith, he was a member of Brantley United Methodist Church. Mr. Hardage proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired in 1997 from the natural gas company in Columbus, GA, after 35 years of service. Mr. Hardage lived a simple life and was a man of few words. He loved the outdoors, working with his hands, gardening, wood working and making knives. Mr. Hardage enjoyed helping others in various ways.
He is survived by the love of his life, soul mate and wife ; two sons; five Grandchildren; one sister.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the entire Gentiva Hospice team who helped watch over our Charles for many months.
