David Thomas Richards, Major, USMCR, Naval Aviator who loved flying his A-4 Skyhawks passed away on March 30, 2015 at the age of 77. He was the loving husband of Carol (nee Frimming) Eisenhauer, beloved father of Haley (Tony) Reasons, David T. (Debi Connor) Richards Jr., Rhyne and his wife, Mary August Howard. He was the devoted grandfather to Lyla and Jolie Reasons and Robert Rhyne and Michael Howard. David will also be missed by Carol's children, Jill (Michael Harper) Eisenhauer and her sons Dominic and Kyle, and Neil (Lindzey) Eisenhauer and children Trevor, Izabella and Gabriella.
David is survived by his brother Vernon of Memphis, TN and his sister Susan Blanton of Fairhope, AL where his many nieces and nephews reside. Brother-in-law of Paul (Judy) Frimming, Thomas (Jan) Frimming, JoAnn (Donald) Partin, the late Robert Frimming and his wife, June Frimming, Donald (Mary) Frimming, Edward (Candace) Frimming of Battle Creek, MI, and Joseph (Kim) Frimming.
David's military service included a Tour of Duty in Japan as an Enlistee and later obtaining his aviator wings which was his true love in the military. David was retired for many years from the banking and insurance industry.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Graveside services follow at 11 a.m. at Odd fellows Cemetery in Lexington, MS. Wilson & Knight Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
David loved all animals, especially his companion, his Akita, Ronin who passed away in 2012.
