Heaven has gained our mother as their newest Angel, as she was called Home on Wednesday, May 13th, 2015 to join her beloved husband, Harold, after a two and a half year separation. Carol Lee Jacobs was born March 29, 1942 in Baraboo, Wisconsin to Donald and Lillian Rhoades, and was cherished by her three brothers, Bill, Donald Jr., and Tony. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Donald Jr., and Harold Jacobs, her best friend and travel buddy, who no doubt met her at the Gates to lead her on their newest adventure. She is absolutely adored and will forever be missed by her three children, Robert Earl, Penny Lee, Jodi Elaine, and their spouses. Carol is additionally survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and countless friends and extended family members, including her loyal canine companion, BJ. She will live on in the hearts of her loving family. Carol proudly served as a civil servant for more than 35 years with the US Air Force and retired after a distinguished career. The family would like to invite everyone who knew and loved Carol to celebrate her life with a visitation at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North from 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, with the Funeral Service at 12 PM on Thursday, May 21, 2015, also at the funeral chapel. A Graveside Service will begin 1:30 PM on May 21, 2015 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. The family will greatly miss the love and kindness she gave during her well-lived life, and asks everyone to spread the same kindness and generosity Carol and Harold did.
