Mark A. Skinner, age 55, of Albia, passed away May 17, 2015 at the Monroe County Hospital in Albia.

Mark was born October 12, 1959 to Gene and Mary Agnes(Murphy)Skinner in Ottumwa. He grew up and attended grade school in Melrose and graduated from the Albia High School, class of 1978. After school Mark helped on the farm. Mark loved helping on the farm. When he was able to work as a farm hand, he drove the tractors and did the farm chores. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and collecting coins.

Mark is survived by several cousins and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Mary Agnes; a brother, Richard Skinner; and grandparents, Jim and Ella Murphy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia, with Fr. Michael E. Volkmer, C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Melrose. Visitation will open at 9:30 am until the time of services on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia, with Richard's family present. An open memorial has been established.
