Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bowling, who died Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at Shannondale Nursing Home in Knoxville, Tenn., was born Jan. 2, 1917, in Trinity to Reuben Phillips and Mary Cathren Pace Phillips. She owned and operated a country store and service station. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for 70 years. Her husband, Marvin Baker Bowling, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Painter and husband, David, of Farragut, Tenn., and Nira Jo Williams and husband, Jack, of Decatur; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church Choir, North Seneca Drive, Trinity, AL 35673.
