He was a builder and real estate broker in South Carolina during the fifties and sixties and later moved to Utah, where he was employed as a real estate representative for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, retiring in 1990. He was a life-long member of the LDS Church where he willingly and faithfully served in many capacities.
He is survived by his second wife, Mona Moore Jensen, to whom he was sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they served missions in Nigeria and England. He is also survived by daughters, Shirley (James) McGuire of Draper, UT, Lorna (Gary) Broadhead of Herriman, UT, Annette Jensen of Herriman, UT, Kay Douthitt of Paris, TX, and Wendy (Troy) Hanson of Sandy, UT; sons, Barry (Belinda) Jensen of Pleasant Grove, UT and David (Kelli) Jensen of Saratoga Springs, UT; stepdaughters, Karen (Pat) Riley of Alvin, TX and Vera (Ken) McKee of Friendswood, TX; stepson, Mark Meadows of Columbia, SC; sister, Marlene Alston of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Louise Graham, daughter, Jennifer Leigh Jensen, brother, Donald Fogg Jensen and William Fogg Jensen, sister, Ruth Mander, and stepson, Kyle Meadows.
Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 12:00 noon at the LDS Church, 420 East Stokes Avenue, Draper, UT. There will be a visitation prior from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, Sandy, UT. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the missionary fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the owners and staff of the Beehive Homes of Herriman for the loving care they provided during the time our dad was in their care.
