She was born January 22, 1951 to Alvie Chester Higgins and Dorothy Louise Higgins.
She married William R. (Bill) McCall on August 19, 2000 in Hemphill, Texas.
Sharon is survived by a loving family of two sons, Ronnie Starbeck of Bourbon and Darrin McCall of Austin, Texas, three daughters, Missy Sappington and husband Sonny of Bourbon, Lori Winter of Angleton, Texas and Laura McCall of Friendswood, Texas and fifteen grandchildren, three brothers, Bill Higgins and wife Kathy of Lake Jackson, Texas, Jeff Higgins of St. Louis, Missouri and Pat Higgins and wife Tina of Bourbon, Missouri, one sister, Carol Biggins of Bourbon and her mother Dorothy Benthal of Bourbon.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father Alvie Chester Higgins.
Sharon did general office work in automobile sales. She was a member of the Pasadena, Texas Church of Christ and was a care giver to the elderly ladies of the Hemphill, Texas area. She was a kind and generous caring lady. She enjoyed her family very much. Sharon also known as the ‘cookie lady’ to family and friends would bake cookies for everyone’s birthdays and in the process would bake an extra sampling for her husband, Bill.
Visitation will be Friday, May 22, 2015 from 5~7pm in The Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street in Hemphill, Texas.
Funeral services for Sharon will be 11am Saturday, May 23, 2015 in The Hemphill Church of Christ with Pastor Bubba Garner officiating.
