Phoenix -- Jack M. Lang, a longtime Hays resident, died Wednesday, April 6 at his daughter's home here. He was 73.

Lang, who owned and operated the Lang Mobile Oil Company in Hays, had lived with his daughter since November. He had retired from his business in early 1976.

Lang married the former Petronilla (Peach) Bissing in Topeka in 1924.

Surviving: two daughters, Mrs. Betty Toepfer, Phoenix and Mrs. Carol Basgall, Honolulu; a brother, Leo, Farmington, N.M.; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Karlin and Miss Seraphine Lang, both of Ellis.

A memorial funeral mass will be said at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hays; Fr. Jim Moster officiating. The Wilson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
