Hines, and the daughter of the late Elbert and Maggie Lucas Cundiff, was born in Lee County, Kentucky on August 25, 1921 and departed this life in Lee County, Kentucky on December 31, 2010 at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 6 days. She retired in 1969 after 25 years as an office manager for BF Goodrich Tire & Rubber Company in Akron, Ohio; she was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Beattyville-Lee County Chamber of Commerce, and the New Springs United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Hines is survived by four nephews, Ted Cundiff and wife Judy, Myrl Cundiff and wife Dana, Bobby Jack Cundiff and wife Judy, and Harold Bailey and wife Judy all of Beattyville, Kentucky; four nieces, Patty Stewart and husband George, Norma Hounschell, Carol Hobbs, Bonnie Gumm and husband Jack; her great nieces, Elizabeth and Karen Cundiff, Mary Lou Riley, Sabrina Combs, Sheila Griffith, Cindy Stamper, Julie Hobbs, Barbara Hobbs, Sharon Gross, Lisa Stamper, Pam Taggert, Debbie Pelfrey, Charlene Hounschell and Patricia Brandenburg; her great nephews, Eddie Cundiff, Brian Cundiff, Donnie Cundiff, Michael Hobbs, Cliff Stewart and Jeff Stewart; and a host of other relatives and friends.
