Obituary from Messenger of Truth Vol. 113, No. 12, June 10, 2015:

Melinda Unruh was born on March 31, 1923, to Abe W. and Minnie Nichols Koehn in rural Galva, Kansas. She peacefully passed away on May 15, 2015, at the age of ninety-two years, at the Moundridge Manor, Moundridge, Kansas. Death was caused by congestive heart failure.
Mother lived her whole life in McPherson County, Kansas. Her eight years of school were spent at the Centennial School. At the age of eleven, she gave her heart to the Lord and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, by Min. John Becker, remaining true to her vows until the end. On October 28, 1945, she was joined in marriage to Eli Unruh at the Lone Tree Church, Galva, Kansas. They enjoyed sixty-eight years of marriage. Mother had good health most of her life, living the last four years at the Moundridge Manor.
Mother was a very hard worker, both materially and helping spiritually in the Church. She was a sewing circle leader for years and enjoyed quilting. She was sewing pot holders on her old Singer sewing machine at the Manor until the end. She was one of the ladies put in charge of compiling the Christian Home Cookbook, trying many of the recipes for us as a family. Mother and Dad were on the original committee that purchased the United Center School and started a new congregation there. They were on the leadership committee, calling in ministers to help with the services before there were any home ministers. They often had them and many others for Sunday dinner and enjoyed a time of fellowship. Hospitality was very much a part of her life.
We are thankful for her testimony that she left with those who came to visit: "I wish I could go home." She also expressed a deep thanksgiving for the grace of God. We rest in an assurance that we will meet again in Heaven.
Those left to cherish her memories are daughters: Donnella Unruh of Moundridge, Kansas; Jannette and husband, Alvern Becker; and son, Don and wife, Sharon, all of Galva, Kansas; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; three brothers: Floyd and wife, Wanda, Bloomfield, Iowa; Leland and wife, Gloria, Minerva, Ohio; Roy and wife, Julia, Homeworth, Ohio; two sisters: Alvina Koehn, Moundridge, Kansas; and Elsie and husband, Sanford Unruh, Okolona, Mississippi; brothers-in-law: Virgil Unruh, and Orval Mastre and wife, Norma, both of Moundridge, Kansas; sisters-in-law: Irene Koehn, Montezuma, Kansas; and Ida Unruh, Newton, Kansas.
Preceding in death were her husband, three brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services were held at the United Center Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Galva, Kansas. Officiating ministers were Cyrus Wedel, Lavern Koehn, and Roy Koehn. Burial was in the adjoining church cemetery.
