Mrs. Johnson, died Sunday, June 18, 2006, at Summerford Nursing Home, was born March 22, 1909, in Morgan County to Thomas E. Kyle and Mary Lou Pence Kyle. Her husband, Coleman R. Johnson; and two sons, Donald Johnson and Eugene Johnson, preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Bennie Johnson of Vinemont and Jimmie Johnson of Somerville; two daughters, Mary Nell Day of Somerville and Peggy Hardage of Lacey's Spring; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Leo Johnson, Cleo Johnson, Billy Johnson, Bobby Johnson, Allen Kirby and Bobby Kirby.
