John Highberg, 88, of Winnie died October 21, 2010, at the Arboretum of Winnie.
A native of Palacios, Texas he lived in the Winnie area since 1957 and was a veteran of the Army Air Corps of World War II.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at Broussard’s Chapel, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Broussard’s.
Mr. Highberg is survived by his sons, Stewart Highberg and his wife Dot of Burtonville, Maryland, Haywood Highberg of Arlington, Virginia and Mickey Highberg and his wife Dominique of Adel, Iowa; daughters, Beverly Martin and her husband Bill of Winnie and Sarah Lambert and her husband Joel of Houston; brothers, Nels Highberg and his wife Irene of Lancaster Pennsylvania and Paul Highberg and his wife Frances of Victoria; grandchildren, Malcom LeBlanc, Sean Highberg, Kyle Highberg, Jennifer Hagan, Abby Lambert, John Elijah Highberg, Cheyanne Highberg, Aaron Highberg, Brandon Highberg, and Rowen Highberg; great-grandchildren, Nathan LeBlanc, Malcolm LeBlanc, Faith Highberg, Paige Highberg, Jackson Highberg, Anabelle Highberg, Albanie Highberg and John Paul Hagan.
