Norbert Leon Cretton, age 81, of 811 Randolph Street, Mishicot, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 16, 2015.

Norbert was born to Walter and Viola (Fermanich) Cretton on August 10, 1933, and has been a lifelong resident of Mishicot.

He graduated in May, 1951 from Mishicot High School, and served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 in Munich, Germany. Norbert married Olive Kvitek on October 6, 1956 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kellnersville. He was employed at Invincible Office Furniture as a foreman for 44 years and part-time for 6 years.

After retiring from Invincible, Norbert kept active by cutting lawns and snow blowing for his son's business (Cretton Enterprises). Norbert was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot. He served as secretary/bookkeeper for Holy Cross Church for fourteen years as well as volunteered for the Holy Cross Bingo Committee for over twenty years. He also served as an usher, server, and Eucharistic Minister for mass at church.

Norbert loved to golf, play softball, and bowled with several teams. He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. Norbert's favorite saying was, "I love when the seasons change from fishing to hunting." Norbert was a member of the Northeastern Wisconsin Great Lakes Sport Fishing Association. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers as well as traveling (trips throughout the United States as well as Mexico, Jamaica, and Europe). He enjoyed playing sheepshead with his card playing buddies as well as Tripoly with his children and grandchildren.

Norbert is survived by his wife, Olive of 58 years; one son, Mark (Donna) Cretton, and two daughters, Ann (Edwin) Schad, Lynn (Brent) Wilkerson, all of Two Rivers; six grandchildren, Kendra (Josh), Tori, Amy, Neal, Brianna, Amanda, and two step-grandchildren, Colby and Bailey; two great grandchildren, Sawyer and Ava, as well as his beloved dog, Kasi. He is further survived by one brother-in-law, Victor (Betty) Kvitek; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Leroy) Krejcarek and Lorraine Delsman; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Viola Cretton; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Tillie Kvitek; one sister, Marjorie Sosnosky and her husband, Kenneth; and one brother-in-law, Joseph Delsman.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot, celebrated by Rev. John Becker. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mishicot. Military graveside honors will be accorded by members of the VFW Post #7753 of Mishicot.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Thursday morning from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. There will be no Wednesday evening visitation.
