DR. K. E. SHERRILL DIES ENROUTE HOME


Had Been Visiting In Los Angeles And Was Aboard Train


Dr. K. E. Sherrill, 74, former physician at the State Hospital, died Friday while enroute by train to Fulton from Los Angeles, Calif., where he had been visiting his son, Hoke Sherrill since June 14 Dr. Sherrill's death was attributed to a heart condition which had forced his retirement from active practice two years ago. The body was taken from the train at Hays, Kan., and is to be sent to Bismarck, Mo., for burial. Final arrangements have not yet been made.


A native of St. Francois County, Dr. Sherrill had lived in Fulton for the past seven years, and was on the State Hospital staff five years. He was married three times. His present wife, Miss Frances Sanders, and he were married in 1942. He has thirteen children by the two previous marriages. Three sons lost their lives in World War II. None of the children live in Fulton.
