SANDERSON, ELIZABETH W., 89, passed away December 8, 2007 at the Norton Medical Pavilion Hospice Unit.
She was the daughter of Horace A. and Myra McKenney Sanderson and the sister of William M. Sanderson. Libby taught school for 41 years in the Louisville School System and for Jefferson County Public Schools. She was a member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church and the Agape Sunday School Class. Over the years she enjoyed the Louisville Hiking Club and the Kentuckiana Square Dance Association.
She is survived by her beloved sister-in-law, Catherine Sanderson; her cousins, Anne Winneberg Sommers and James Sanderson; her aunt Gaye Sanderson Gay. Miss Sanderson was dear "Aunt Libby" to Doug Sanderson (Glenda), Linda Noble (Ryan) and Barbara DeMoss (Gary). She also held a special place in the hearts of her 10 great nieces and nephews and seven great-great nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Crescent Hill Baptist Church.
