Willie Robert Ewing, 88 of Odessa, died Dec. 15, 1998, at the New Haven Nursing Home in Odessa. He was born Aug. 12, 1910 in Mayview, MO, and had lived in Odessa most of his life.

He was the owner/manager of Scholl's Corner Drug Store in Odessa from 1923 to 1975.

He was a Navy veteran, serving on the USS Burleigh as an X-ray technician and pharmacist corpsman. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5675 in Odessa.

He was a 1928 graduate of Odessa High School, a charter member of the Odessa Lions Club, and a member of the former Odessa Golf group.

His survivors include two sisters, Inez Sullivan of Independence, MO; and Lorene Oliaro of Lexington, MO; and two nephews, Thomas Ewing of Pleasant Hill, MO, and John Sullivan of Independence, MO.

Services will be Friday at the Ralph O. Jones Chapel, Odessa. Burial will be in Greenton Cemetery, Odessa.
